Support for Safer, More Beautiful Storefronts in Oakland Chinatown

A storefront improvement opportunity for eligible OCCC Business Tier Members and above to enhance their storefronts with decorative window vinyl.

As part of the Oakland Chinatown Chamber of Commerce’s business beautification efforts, OCCC offers a grant to eligible Business Tier Members and above to support the installation of decorative window vinyl at their storefront. This grant is made possible through the generous donation by Kaiser Permanente

The vinyl can provide both practical and aesthetic benefits, including:

  • Increased privacy

  • Added security by limiting visibility into the business

  • Improved storefront appearanc

  • Stronger visual branding

  • A more welcoming and distinctive street presence

What Does the Grant Cover?

Up to $5,000 per approved business The Oakland Chinatown Chamber of Commerce will cover the cost of: Decorative window vinyl + installation.

It will not cover the art cost or replacement of glass.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

  • Be a current OCCC Business Tier Member or above

  • Be in good standing with the Chamber

  • Operate an eligible storefront

  • Provide proof of payment and a detailed invoice for the vinyl and installation.

  • Provide proof of finished work

If You Rent Your Space Businesses that lease their storefront may apply, but landlord consent or confirmation may be required before installation.

What if I'm not a business member?

You must be a business member to apply. You can upgrade your memebership or join the Oakland Chinatown Chamber of Commerce.
