If you were anywhere near Oakland on the evening of April 22, the business affair to be at was the Chinatown Chamber’s 24th Annual Spring Banquet.   The event attracted a who’s who of local business and government leaders from in and around the Oakland area.  Close to 300 distinguished members, public officials, and guests of the Oakland Chinatown Chamber descended upon Chinatown’s Legendary Palace Restaurant for this, the premier networking event of the Chinatown Chamber of Commerce.  Everyone in attendance feasted on a delicious eight course meal, featuring Peking duck.  Delivering the keynote speech was Dr. Fernando Cheung, who spoke on the current social and economic issues of Hong Kong.
